Coast Central Credit Union is a Very Good Friend!

Coast Central Credit Union (CCCU) has been a supporter of Project Linus Humboldt since our beginnings in 2018.  They have approved our yearly Sponsorship requests without hesitation.  Their Sponsorship has allowed us the funds to rent monthly meeting space at Buttons, buy fabric, yarn and batting along with miscellaneous items that our chapter needs to deliver blankets to local kids in need of a blanket hug.  In addition to this financial support, one CCCU employee donates homemade blankets as well!  You can see her, on the right, and her blankets, along with another CCCU employee with me receiving a check in the photo below.

This funding goes a long way and we spend it wisely.  In addition to this funding, we are appreciative of their support for what we do for children in our community. Friendships are important to one’s well being and we know that CCCU is a very good friend.

I picked up the first check for $420.00 which was generated from a Jeans Day fundraiser.  CCCU employees paid $5. to wear jeans on a Friday.  We were one of 12 local non-profits who benefited from this fun fundraiser.  We also received a Sponsorship check for $1,280. this month.  That brings the grand total of CCCU’s support in 2025 to $1,700.

Project Linus Chapters must fundraise a minimum of $500. annually.  Knowing that we have the annual support of CCCU makes this effort a lot less stressful.  We made and delivered 526 blankets last year.  Support from CCCU was stitched into each and every one of those blankets!
